This bag is cute and functional, but it was a bit smaller than I expected. My daughter uses it as a gym bag, sleep over bag, junk bag. It fits a change of clothes, tennis shoes, toiletries and cell phone, ipod, etc. She loves it, so I have no complaints. If you'd like to use it to carry more things, I would go for the large bag instead of the medium.
