The toggle clasp that is supposed to hold the elastic tight around the ankle so the bootie does not fall off the foot does not work at all. Even a light tug on it loosens the elastic. Makes the booties useless.
My mom purchased these for my son before he was even born from a boutique in Chicago. He started wearing them to keep his feet warm at 5 months old. Now at 18 months he is stil wearing the same booties! They are squishy - we call them his moon boots. He gets compliments everywhere on them. Since they are soft soled and puffy they fit a wide range of sizes. They can be big before your baby walks and snug when they do.
My son now is running around and we send him to daycare in these. They are comfy to wear all day (even while napping) but also rugged enough to wear outdoors when it's cold but dry (I would argue that they are NOT water resistant like they claim). You can throw them in the washer and dryer (we've done it dozens of times). I don't use the toggles on them. The elastic is so long I put them on like a pony tail holder, just wrapping them around the ankles until they fit. And they never come off and don't leave red marks like most shoes.
